Dorval Technologies' commitment to providing high-quality prototypes at short notice has inspired our investment in a state-of-the-art vacuum casting system. Using SLA masters generated from your files, we create precision molds in polyurethane, epoxy, or silicone rubber, which are used in combination with our proprietary, specially formulated casting resins to generate multiple, dimensionally stable prototypes, in materials which resemble end-use materials.

Vacuum cast prototypes can have the look, feel, and performance characteristics of thermoplastics or rubber. Your prototypes can be opaque or transparent, UV stable, impact resistant, heat resistant, flame retardant, rigid or flexible, and color matched to the Pantone® Color Matching System.

High accuracy, fine levels of detail, excellent surface quality, and solid functional performance make this the process of choice for prototypes numbering in the dozens or hundreds. Our vacuum cast parts are so difficult to distinguish from production parts that they are used for quality testing, assembly testing of moving parts, and, of course, for catalogue shoots and market assessment prior to, and during, the final tooling cycle.

In the past, your company may have spent thousands of dollars on one precious, fragile prototype, which was kept under lock and key. Today, those same financial resources can be used to quickly turn around multiple, robust, functional, visually appealing prototypes.
